Nancy Daniels, APR

Nancy Daniels, APR, is Director of Public Relations for Hawaii-based Outrigger Enterprises Group, one of the largest and fastest-growing hospitality services companies in the Asia Pacific region. In her position, she is responsible for promoting a higher awareness and positive image of the company's multi-branded line of hotels, resorts and condominiums, including Outrigger Hotels & Resorts, OHANA Hotels & Resorts, Outrigger Condominium Collection, and affiliated properties Embassy Suites®-Waikiki Beach Walk®, Courtyard®by Marriott Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana Hotel and Best Western The Plaza Hotel.

She oversees all external communications efforts on behalf of the company, including the planning, coordination and execution of media relations, community relations, and special promotions and events, while running the day to day operations of the company's public relations department.

Nancy has been a member of the Outrigger public relations team since 1995. Prior to joining the company, she spent seven years at the former Kahala Hilton Hotel. Ms. Daniels' experience in Hawaii's hospitality industry also includes positions with Inter-Continental Hotels Corporation and Pan American World Airways.

An active member in the hospitality industry and the community, Nancy is a long-time member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), serving as a board member of the PRSA Hawaii chapter for the past nine years, PRSA Hawaii chapter president in 2006, and PRSA Western District representative in 2008 and 2009. She also serves as an officer of the Western Chapter of the Society of American Travel Writers and is the current 2nd vice chair of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii.

In 2009, she was awarded the Gregg w. Perry Public Relations professional of the Year. Born and raised in the islands, Ms. Daniels is a graduate of Heald College. She also holds the Accredited in Public Relations designation from the Public Relations Society of America.
