Mele Pochereva, APR

Mele Pochereva, APR, has enjoyed a public relations career that spans more than 30 years. She spent eight years with one of Honolulu’s largest agencies before forming her own company, Mele Pochereva Public Relations, in 1989. Her areas of expertise include public relations planning and project management, media relations, writing services and special events.

Mele’s diverse clients have included private industry, government agencies and nonprofit organizations, and she has earned numerous awards for her work over the years. Among her current clients are Alexander & Baldwin Inc., Castle Medical Center, Hawaii Theatre Center, Kapolei Shopping Center, NAIOP Hawaii and Special Events Hawaii.

An accredited member of PRSA since 1988, Mele has served as a director and officer of the Hawaii Chapter. She currently serves as a founding board member of the Hawaii Theatre Center Stars volunteer organization, and volunteers her services to other nonprofit organizations.

Mele was born and reared in Hawaii and enjoys being outdoors, exploring her Kailua neighborhood and honing her green thumb with an assortment of backyard herbs and other plants.
